King Stanley

Back to Horses On Tour

Good ole' Stasch, he just keeps getting better. King Stanley won 50% of his starts last year, he went to the gate 16 times and came home a winner 8 of those. Pretty good for a 12 year old, in fact very good for any age horse! After the Wisconsin fair season ended Stasch traveled to Iowa to race at Prairie Meadows and won 2 of his 4 starts at the 1 mile oval. Then trainer, and ace announcer, George "Woody" Woodbridge brought the old boy back home, pulled his shoes and turned him out to pasture at Eric and Marion Tong's farm in Evansville, Wisconsin.

In March Woody started to putting slow jog miles on Stasch to get ready for the 2011 campaign. Plans are for King Stanley to continue to race as long as he remains competitive. But he better watch out, there's another family member starting up, Rally To Win is Stasch's 3 year old half sister and she is jogging and has her sights aimed straight towards the starting gate.
