Fox Valley Bunns

Back to Horses On Tour

My name is Fox Valley Bunns and last year I was the Wisconsin Trotter of the Year. I was extremely proud of my accomplishment and sorry to have the 2010 racing season end but I was also very happy to spend the fall and winter on vacation with my other racing friends. We enjoyed the days in a 50 acre pasture and every night my Magee family would bring me into the warm barn. I love coming into the barn at night because my human friends always have some treats for me. I will follow them anywhere if I know they have treats!

I will be honest here; I have a very large head. In fact I am a very large horse; I have to have special equipment made for me. But...back to my large head, it itches a lot! I love to rub my head on my trainer Gary after a warm up or race, he has to brace himself because it feels sooooooo good that I just can't stop.

I also have a girl friend! A little red haired girl named Jaida, who is now 7 years old. I have been in love with Jaida since she was 3 and I was...ahh, well... ahh, I was younger. (I'm afraid that race horses are not very good at math) I love to play with Jaida's ponytails, ha-ha ponytails, get it?

My Magee family has always taken very good care of me. I have had some leg problems but every day they spend a lot of time rubbing my legs and putting special liniment on them. In February I started my jogging miles on the race track and if the snow would EVER stop, I will be able to start my training miles. I plan on racing at the Wisconsin fairs again and maybe even Running Aces or Balmoral Park. I love to race, and I love to win. Hope to see you all at the Wisconsin races this summer, come back to the barn area and please...bring treats!!

Donna cheers me on while I take Gary for a spin at Mineral Point!

I head for the lead heading to the half-mile mark of the race.
